AI Is Not That Hard

AI Is Not That Hard

A podcast about getting from an idea to a working system, with AI doing the typing. Hosted by Edd Dawson.

The hard part of building software used to be writing the code. It isn't any more. AI coding agents will write, test and fix code faster than most teams can decide what they want. The bottleneck has moved: to describing the thing clearly, to running it so it keeps working, and to getting it in front of people.

Those are jobs that product owners, project managers and business operators already know how to do. This show is for them, and for anyone technical who wants to see how real systems get built and run with agents doing the work. Every episode is first person: things I have actually built, what they cost, what broke, and what I kept, paused or killed.

The standing rule of the show: if you're ever stuck, ask your agent.

Start with AI Primer

AI Primer is the foundation season: short episodes, one question each, no prior knowledge assumed. What a terminal is, what a coding agent is, what an API key is, what a spec needs to say. When a main episode uses one of those ideas, it points you back to the Primer episode rather than explaining it again.

About the host

Edd Dawson has a software engineering degree, spent fifteen years running businesses rather than writing code, and came back to building when AI made it possible to run professional systems without a development team. He previously made 361 episodes of SEO Is Not That Hard.
